Success is very often a short-lived high. People arrive at the goal line in life, look into the end zone and discover that it contains many of the things that money will buy, but it contains very little of what money won't buy. Success doesn’t always mean winning. There are other ways to win, rather than winning "the game".

Being successful is all about what you want to happen and what you choose to make out of your success. Being successful is every person's dream. Every one of us wants to be successful in our career, family and in our total being. Being successful is a skill you can learn.

Using Google Search it is helpful to research rapidily information on small business plans.

Keep your priorities straight: Work with a plan … time and money is spent to make any business successful and you will have a limit of each. Develop a Goal, a real reason WHY you decided to work your online home based business. Then what are you willing to spend in the way of time and money.

I find that all to often those that invest a very small amount of money into their business also invest very little efferent, time or real commitment. And as failure comes …. Attitude slips. Your income opportunity just went out the door.

The best way to improve your attitude is to become the most knowledgeable person there is about what you are selling as well as who you are selling it to. Additionally, you should be aware of your competition and not just their downfalls, look at what they are doing right and if it can give your business a better chance of success, you may want to incorporate it into your businessplan.

Understanding the needs of your customers and being proactive in meeting those needs can also help you succeed. When people see something they did not know they needed or wanted until you showed it to them, they can become an appreciative as well as repeat customer. You can accomplish this by watching trends in your line of work and staying a step or two ahead of the competition.

Make a commitment to study, mentor with someone who is successful in your chosen online home based business. Following and learning from someone that has walked this path before you can be wise decision and increase your chances for strong income opportunity. Have a great, no a grand attitude … a belief in yourself and your online home based businss. Your mindset has all to do with your success.

Have you ever drug yourself out of bed on Monday morning and thought - oh if I could only work for myself in a home business? I certainly did. In 1974 I worked in the hospitals, had two children, comuted off of an island, 2 hr trip each way. Of couse would wake my sleepy little ones and send them off for someone else to raise. Finally one day as I looked into there eyes and how I felt, I said enough is enogh. I'm going to have a online home based business. At the time I had no idea where that would lead me in life. Its been an adventure and I'm grateful that I made the choice. But oh the poor choices, all of which were lessons, came from not having an Internet Marketing Strategy. I did not even know about such things. Just raw enthusiam.

Being in an online home business for your own self can be part of the American dream. Each man and woman has the ability to work and with dedication, consistent effort, continuing education and choosing wisely what type of business they begin; they have the chance for real success. We are a county built on the backs of the little guy. The regular person and often family enterprises are the foundation of this country. We come from many nations and tribes; each bringing our strong desire to care for our families and be strong in our communities. People have for years been working with a home business.

The days of brick and mortar business are slowly dying out. More and more people are purchasing products and services via the internet. More people are getting tired of being tied to an unsecure future while holding a job.

The realization that we need to look for multiple streams of income and residual income for our retirement years is here. Especially in these uncertain financial times. Jobs; working for the MAN no longer offers the security our grandfathers experienced.

Doing a simple Google Search on trends for internet sales brought up hundreds of reports. These two are a good examples.

Internet sales growth gained some momentum in the second quarter, increasing by 7.2% from the first quarter to a total of $21.1 billion. In the first quarter, sales increased by a more modest 6% from the previous quarter. This represents a 26% gain in sales from one year ago, compared to a 23% gain during the first quarter. Internet sales have grown by more than 20% on a year-ago basis in every quarter since the start of 2002....

NEW YORK – Online spending is expected to rise a robust 17 percent this year, despite a sluggish economy that has bruised many brick-based retailers, according to an annual survey to be released today.

Retail sales online, excluding travel purchases, are set to grow to $204 billion in 2008 from $174.5 billion last year, fueled by sales of apparel, computers and autos, according to a survey conducted by Internet analysis firm Forrester Research for Shop.org Security, the online arm of the National Retail Federation trade group. That projection is below the 21 percent increase seen in the prior year, but industry officials attribute it to the maturing of the business, not the slow economy.

E-commerce “is clearly the bright spot in retailing,” said Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org Security. So online home business is here to stay.

It is clear to see that what we have been hearing and sensing about the growth in internet sales of goods, service and information is in fact documented.

Thousands of people are turning to an online home based business and are using the internet, web technology as it is a big part of that. There can be quite a learning curve and earning curve but if you choose wisely and surround yourself with a true team effort an a business mentor that you are comfortalbe with, you odds of succes rise greaty.

No matter what business you are involved in, there are bound to be times of crisis. By having internet marketing strategy you have some idea what to expect and how to react helps you get through these situations more smoothly. If you have an online home based business having one computer is walking on the edge of suicide (at least in my humble experience). I have had times when 3 out of 4 PCs were down for repair for one reason or another. Also there are those times when outside influences really can knock us down. Having at least two PC with at least one being a lap top allows you to be mobile and always in business.

Did you know about the Internet cables in the Mediterranean north of Egypt that were cut recently, disrupting service in that area and others further east. At first there were two and today a third became known according to an article at BBC News, New cable cut compounds tech woes.

1. So when all of a sudden you can not rely on your PC are you prepared? Think twice and act now!
2. Are you prepared with back-up of your records and inventories?
3. Do you have the copy both on site AND off site?
4. Can you contact your customers without the use of the computer?
5. Do you have the ability to keep in touch with your customers/clients by phone and mail?
6. Are your records up to date with all information for each client, employ or rep?
7. Is any part of your production powered by the Internet?
8. Where will you go or what will you do when it does go down AND it will from time to time.
9. Can you do ordering, filling orders, banking if the Internet goes down?
10. Where are the back up of all user names and passwords?
    

It is easy to rely on all our electrical achievements BUT are you taking the time to really prepare to keep your business strong.
